Mabel - I posted a reply in to your other post, also. a yurt from a reputable company will easily meet all the building permit requirements (you will need an engineer approval). the only thing that will hold you up is the

insulation

. as i said in my other post, we changed the design slighly and were able to do it in Montana where the requirements are even higher. Send me a private message if you'd like to talk more about it.
