Freedom Yurt Cabins
Freedom Yurt Cabins, LLC is a manufacturer of solid walled yurts and started as an epiphany in the middle of the night when Richard Barry awoke thinking about a solid wall yurt design. Shortly thereafter, he rented some warehouse space near his home in Denver, and began tinkering with various ideas. A meeting with the late Becky Kemery (author of "Yurts: Living in the Round") further inspired Barry when she told him that she had seen many solid wall yurt designs, but no one had ever developed one that could compete in the fabric yurt market.

After 10 years and numerous designs, Barry has developed what he calls the "Yurt-Cabin" which features solid walls, an integrated flooring system, insulated walls and roof, house windows, roundwood frame and rafters, and a wood ceiling with a tongue and groove appearance.

Barry launched Freedom Yurt Cabins, LLC in the summer of 2014. The company is based in Aurora, Colorado.
