Smile Yurt Vandalism

So, I work for a sand and gravel company in Plymouth, MN. They allow employees to live in rv's on designated plots of land. These plots are located within their gravel pits and have electric hook-ups and access to well water.

Ideally, I'd like to live in a yurt on their land, but I haven't been approved to, however that's not my main concern. I'm more worried about vandalism and theft. What are your guy's thoughts of living in a yurt within a gravel pit that functions 3-8 months out of the year where you see trespassers (of various ages) maybe once a month.

Thanks,
Aaron

Have the RV's experienced any vandalism?

Furr out the door to 1 and 3/8ths thick around the lock area and install a standard keyed entry deadbolt. For a relative cheap solution to extra wall security you might consider lining the perimeter wall with chain link fence and tiewire it to the lattice. Depot sells the fence by the roll. If you don't like the look of the fencing inside, cover with cheap 8 oz. painters tarps. Good luck.
