Default Visit a yurt in Washington

I will be building my own yurt this fall, but would love to check out some others before I do so. Do you have a yurt in Washington you would be willing to let me take a look around in? I would appreciate it very much! I would also love to know more about the building process if you are up for answering a few questions.

I'm sure there are a good number of yurts in Washington. There's also quite a difference, and distance, between Eastern & Western Washington.

Suntime Yurts

is in E. Washington.

Rainier Yurts

is near Seattle and likely has a demo yurt or two up. I recall a camping-style yurt maker somewhere along the Columbia too.

In my neck of the woods (Washington/Idaho border), I know of half a dozen or so yurts (including mine). There's even a bed & breakfast place a few miles down the road with a yurt.

Contacting any of the major manufacturers would be a good way to find out if they have any purchasers nearby willing to give you a tour.

I'll have a couple ~20' yurts at "Critical Northwest", the regional Burning Man event. I built one nearly 10 years ago, and my roommate just bought one -- we'll have both so you could compare & contrast.

I'm planning on building a new yurt this fall too, with a bunch of lessons-learned from my original + any design-ideas I can steel from a professional manufacturer
