I'd paint the deck with two good coats of exterior grade paint. That's what I did on my yurt deck.

Erect your 5 meter yurt on a tarp. Fold the edge of the tarp up under the yurt cover on the outside of the wall lattice. Snug the cover and tarp to the wall with a low rope that encircles the bottom...
