Default installing piping for a wood stove

New to this forum. hope I have the right spot! I am installing a wood stove with vertical piping only which would go right through the top of my Yurt. I keep reading here all putting the piping through the wall and having a 90 degree elbow. Am i creating a big problem or risk? have others done it this way also?

The wall is much safer than roof. Putting anything through your roof risks leakage.

^^^ I agree.

Another BIG advantage to a side wall woodstove pipe exit is it cuts down on embers landing and burning pinholes in the cover.

My stove pipe on my small

camping yurts

up to 16'D have always exited through the ring. As a result ember burn holes is something I've dealt with since I built my first yurt in 2013. If I was living full time in a commercial grade residential yurt I would have a side wall exit. No debate necessary it IS a better system.
