2x10 nailed to a house as a deck ledger board is one thing. 2x10 spanning 8 feet with joists every 2 feet is absurdly off code. Two 2x10 would be rustic with todays lumber that is wide grained...

Beats me why there are no anchors set in the piers? Never seen that before. It is what it is. A deck the size you want to build is unlikely to move once built, unless extreme wind is possible.
