Thanks to all that responded. The deck was completed- the platform added and the yurt up! It took three weeks but got er' done. And yes- thank goodness the father-in-law came back for the first week....

Thank-you for your suggestion. NO we have no building codes to abide by. The county does not have code if you own 10 acres or more. I also do not have to have a certified electrician or plumber...
