I don't have the numbers now, but when I found the snow load requirements in my area which IIRC was based on snow PSF, my yurt exceeded them without the center pole. We have years where we get snow...

How much snow would you estimate was on the roof?


If I recall correctly, most manufacturers use 3 layers of wood there or a metal ring. You would want at least 3 layers for a yurt that big so...
