Thanks guys. We are going to start on floors in the am. I will try to sand and finish at least one coat before yurt goes up. Hopefully by friday we should be under roof. Wish me luck..some rain...

Thanks. We have site plan done and perk test have been in touch with code office but they seem to not know much about yurts which worries me a bit. We do have deck plans and will talk with the yurt...

PA yurt living code and permitting

We are a family of four looking to move from an rv to a 30' ft yurt. Anyone have experience with PA code and permitting?

Decision made on a 5 yr plan....moving forward with the yurt....30ft. We will add timber frame later at a slower pace but hope to be in the yurt by start of summmer.

Heat is not an issue. Plenty of wood on the farm. More than I think I could ever use. We struggle with spending 20,000 + on building a yurt and not having that $ for the house. I think a yurt...
