    2 layer rings is common, this ring simply wasn't made correctly by anyone standards. There is clearly not enough glue. the surface as a whole should be covered with glue not just a line of it.

    I have a 30' and all I can add to this is, you can't make a yurt any bigger once you buy it. So if it were me, size would be the most important factor.
