Default Adirondacks Bug Report

My son and I are up at the yurt camp this weekend, doing firewood and harassing the trout. To my surprise, the black flies are just about gone. A couple weeks ago, you couldn't even breathe without getting a mouthful of them. Mosquitoes are out, but at least repellent and smoke keep them away. The deer flies are just starting to come out, but not many yet.

We have had a real dry beginning of the summer here and that has lowered and slowed the Black River quite a bit. I think that might have a lot to do with the early bug season so far.

Well, off to make some breakfast get back to all the projects.
