Default Permitted in Snohomish County Washington?

My husband and I are looking to buy some land and put a yurt on it to live full time in. Does anyone have information that Snohomish County in Washington would allow that?

I'm in Eastern Wa near Pullman now, but I grew up in Skagit County. I recall a state park that had yurts for rent (looks like River Meadows Park) near Arlington. So at least the county is familiar with them--have you seen the park yurts or asked around?

The only other info I have is that I knew a girl that lived in a yurt for a short bit up near Bellingham. I think she was under the radar though. It was just a small 16' camping yurt (light frame, single layer of canvas w/a sheet of plastic for water proofing) and she had to be extra vigilant about mildew. She eventually moved back to SE Wa and I don't think she's in the yurt any more.

Kayak Point Campground in Snohomish County has a Yurt Village
Snohomish County, WA - Official Website

We've stayed there before many years ago & had a blast with friends renting the whole village out. Definitely would be good to check them out - they have electricity, but no running water etc.... You could stop by & chat with the rangers at the park - I assume its very different to live full time vs temporary dwellings of a campground.

Our yurt is temporary/off grid in Chelan Co. so its a different matter.

LARMORRIS - My wife and I also live in Snohomish County and would love to do this as well. Did you run into any issues?
