Default SIPS vs plywood

I will be purchasing a 24' yurt soon and can not decide if I should buy a SIPs floor or build a plywood one. I dont' have a lot of building/construction knowledge, so on one hand the SIPS would be easier, but it seems much more expensive. The yurt will be in Oregon with fairly mild climate - a small amount of snow in winter and decently hot but dry days in the summer. Is the SIPS worth the extra money? and can any one give me an estimate of what a a plywood platform would cost if is was just plywood and some kind of

insulation

(not the cost of labor, as I have friends who can help me out with building it)?

Precut SIPs for a 24' Yurt cost around $5k, plus shipping and hardware.

They sure are nice though; great

insulation

and a nice solid, quiet floor.

Waaaay less expensive to build your own.Use rigid foam board insulation underneath. If you plan on ever moving it ,make it in 2 pieces so you can later pick it up.Lots of u tube videos to help!

If you don't mind my asking, could you tell me where (in general) you are building and how you found your land to put it on?

Here is our 24' Surely Yurt platform frame design. I've built these many different ways and this is the best.

That platform looks very well supported. I have a 16' platform. The framing is 2X4 on edge, on ~19.2" centers. The deck is regular old 2x6 construction lumber. I have the frame anchored to - 47- pads. It doesn't deflect at all. lol
