Default I am buying a Yurt and need help

Hi , I live in Spain and am wanting to buy a yurt to put in my garden for visitors. I am not sure on what is good or bad as I am getting different comments for sellers. I live in a hot climate which has heavy rain and wind in the winter months. Please can anyone advise on the following:-

Is Horsehair better or polyester
Is Sheeps Wool better
IS 16FT a good size to start with to sleep a couple
What is the best thing to buy for the toilet and bathroom facilities
One that is selling is without the middle poles (crown supports) is this normal
Is a Mongolian Yurt a good buy
what is the best stove to use
thanks in advance!!

Is Horsehair better or polyester

Polyester will last much longer but horsehair will look and feel (and be) authentic.

Is Sheeps Wool better

For

insulation

? It doesn't sound like you need any. Does it ever get real cold there?

IS 16FT a good size to start with to sleep a couple

Yes, more than enough.

What is the best thing to buy for the toilet and bathroom facilities

I would build a separate bathroom outside of the structure.

One that is selling is without the middle poles (crown supports) is this normal

Yes, at least for smaller yurts.

Is a Mongolian Yurt a good buy

Yes and no. There are many fly-by-night yurt makers from Mongolia and chances are, you will get poor quality if you buy from them. A company like

Groovy Yurts

however has been working with the same Mongolian families for years and ensure quality control with their product. If you are looking for authenticity, then that is the best you will get quality wise (in my opinion). If you are looking for an architectural yurt that will last 20-30 years without any replacement materials needed, then you will want to look at US manufacturers.

what is the best stove to use

Depends on your climate.
