Default Geothermal cooling??

I am building a yurt this year. Im planning on living off grid in my yurt year round in north new jersey. Has anyone ever used geothermal cooling for their yurt?
I have a backhoe that I could use to bury pipe to use as a heat exchanger. The yurt will have canvas, buble wrap

insulation

, then a rain proof cover. Is there any reason this wouldn't work?

I am building a deck to place the yurt on so it will be slightly elevated off the ground. There will be cement pilings to support the weight etc. Does anyone know what depth the pipes have to be placed and how many feet of pipe is ideal And the best pipe to use? I have seen cpu cooling fans used to move air through the pipe, is there something better? I can hook that up to solar with no problem. I know it wont be cold in there, but any respite on very hot days would be welcome.

Any info, good or bad, would be helpful.
