Default Tankless water heater recommendations

I'm looking for a small tankless water heater for use in my yurt. Since I will be off-grid at least for the near future, it must be propane-powered with no AC power requirement.
This one looks like it might do, but it's meant for outdoor use. I'm guessing I would need to construct a vent for it. Does anyone know of any comparable heaters I should be considering?

Here is a great combo (or you can split them up):

The pump runs off of 12v. It is the setup I have at my camp for my shower and I have a second for my sink.

I use no vents.

I agree with above.

Same set up I use too.

Great little system.

Since my water supply is a well, I have a 220v pump (powered by a generator) feeding a pressure tank, so I don't need the 12v pump. I will keep the pump in mind if I get set up for rainwater recovery. As long as the water heater can achieve at least a 60 degree temperature rise at about 1 gpm water flow, it should be fine for my purposes.

PS: I have seen two general types of propane space heaters: blue flame (convection heat) and orange (infrared). I gather that the convection heater heats the air, while the infrared heater heats nearby objects. Is that accurate?

Thanks

I have the eco temp mentioned above...though I have mainly used it outside. Now that it is cold I need running water inside. Do you use it inside? Do you store the propane outside? Can you give more details on how you have it rigged for your sink? Thanks!

I have the propane inside and I run it inside. We are talking about 5 - 10 minutes a day when I am there. Keep in mind, this is just for my yurt CAMP. I do not live there full-time.

We have an eccotemp L5 tankless hot water heater, and it has worked well while we were living off grid in Hawaii. Note that this water heater is meant to be used outside. Now that we are in Washington, with temperatures that dip below freezing in the winter months, our water heater broke. We didn't bleed the lines (my fault), whoops! We still have yet to figure out a better option for the winter months...

Overall I would not recommend the eccotemp hot water heater unless you're in an area that doesn't get a winter freeze!!

Why would you need a heater to heat hot water? :P

Yes, you cannot let these (or any water heater) freeze. They do have a freeze plug that you can unscrew on the bottom to drain the unit. Even the slightest freeze will break these things.

I know this post is a few years old- wondering if you could say the name of the setup, as the amazon link no longer works. we're looking for something for a shower and sink to be used inside our yurt for kitchen and bathroom but something that can deal with freezing temps in the winter!
thanks!
