Planning to build a yurt in Czech Republic

Foot traffic won't pull up paint that has dried properly and bonded to the substrate. I know, because my yurt floor has two coats and they aren't even slightly prone to peeling. Sorry to hear that. That's a bummer. After two weeks that paint should be dry and sticking good. :/

Not much new on the yurt itself, but thought I'll show you the re-finished table:

Planning to make a bookshelf out of some small office cabinets, attached together. Will see how that goes.

Wow, came out great! I love look of the drawers. You broke up the coloring well.

I didn't really want the yellow to be so bright, but I kinda like the results in the end. I'll likely paint other furnite with the same color as I make/renew it.

I've always liked the contrast between paint and natural or stained wood. A perfect example of that is old school canvas covered wood canoes from early1900s. All wood stripper canoes look great. But IMO canvas covered make the interior wood framework look even better. A perfect combo when it comes to beauty.

Working on the bookshelf. Got these four discarded office cabinets and plan to attach them together. They are currently getting repainted, then some new, stronger shelf holders will be installed and finally the whole set will be screwed together. Both me and my wife need to have lots of books around for our dissertations, so a bookshelf is the most urgently needed piece of furniture now.

Not much new lately...been working on my orders. Worked on the bookshelf now and then, it's about to be finished. The lower cases and drawers are done, upper cases already have the inner shelves fixed in place and need one more paint layer. Once it's done, I can finally attach the four pieces together and load it with books.

Glad you are working. I've been at it steadily up until today. I need some time off to paint the soffit/ fascia of our house anyway. Relatives coming in for our sons wedding 9-18. Talk to you down the road. Enjoy the summer.

I definitely like those cases.

I just bought a bright yellow 'eagle claw featherlight 3/4 weight' fly rod last week. Already caught a couple hundred sunfish fish with it. Yellow must piss them off. :D

Thanks. I really like how it turned up.
Good luck with your fishing, Bob! I haven't been fishing for a long time...lately thought about it, but there isn't much chance around where I live now.
