I will let the forum know if I go with a slab. With all the cost, the platform is really the right option.

I found a 120 gallon solar water heating system that will do the radiant and domestic for about 7k with shipping. So it should pay for itself over time.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I will go the traditional route(platform), but incorporate propane heater as primary heat source.

I am putting up a 30’ Nomad Yurt this summer. I am wanting to do a slab with radiant heat. Anyone out there have any experience with slabs for yurt platforms?
