Red face Experience in Bastrop County, Texas??

Hello...yurters.

My family and I are (casually) investigating the idea of purchasing a yurt and land as a primary residence in Bastrop County, Texas. Does anyone have experience in this area of Texas?
We are working with a woman who is currently trying to root out some unrestricted property with utilities already connected.

I feel a little overwhelmed with questions, and very underwhelmed with answers...Who can reccommend a good FAQ/beginner's guide to primary residence in a yurt???
Happy to have found this forum and will be busy ransacking the existing posts.

If you live in the Austin area, I'd love to get together for some coffee or kolaches or whatever!

I might suggest calling one of the (relatively) big yurt makers on the phone. That's what marketing is for, right? Maybe biased a little, but answers nonetheless. At least one of them likely has sent a yurt or two to Texas or nearby and could maybe give you a reference.

Good luck & ask away!

I did end up calling Rainier. They have sent me loads and loads of FAQ and cost estimation information.

We have found a property damaged by the recent fires in Bastrop--theoretically it has connected power, water, and even a septic system...
