Default adding new canvas

My yurt is infested with mice..so infested that it is unlivable. they live in the canvas and

insulation

. so me and my girlfriend plan to take off the canvas, kill the mice or just get them out and put a new canvas on. or put the old one back on.
I need some help finding somewhere in the northeast, or on the internet to buy 30 foot yurt canvas and possibly

insulation

. wall canvas and roof canvas.
Can anyone help us out?
Thanks!

There's a company in NH that has cool looking products, but they are horrible about returning phone calls and emails. I've tried to get supplies from them twice. Best bet would be to go to an awning place and have them custom make you one.

Mice are easy to get rid of go to the grocery store buy some oil of peppermint put it on some cotton balls and place around the areas that you think they may be.mice hate the stuff and will leave.and your place will smell good to.
Dan R-M and KenB like this.

Get a couple of cats. I've tried the peppermint/cotton ball approach and the mice walked through it like it wasn't there. A good mouser cat works. That's why farmers keep them around the barn.

Have you considered using an ultrasonic mouse deterrent?

i have no idea what the ultrasonic thing is, but we have a plan. im putting some poison in the y urt in october and hopefully it will kill most of them. then going in with masks and stuff on and taking out the nests and cleaning it all out. then putting steel wool wherever they could get in.

Steel wool does work actually. I had forgotten about that. The only problem I see with poison is that they eat it and then hide themselves and die in places where you cannot get to them. It stinks for a while. One method works pretty well, and that is the bucket method. I would add, use antifreeze instead of water and they won't smell at all.
