I love when the snow is gone, I can go back to spending quality time at the Yurt. I have put quite a bit of work into being able to do my developing up here which allows me to spend more time at camp.

Between the 800 watts of solar panels, 1,500 watt pure sine inverter, Wilson cell phone extender, new Dell XPS 15 laptop w/ backup batter and a couple backup generators It can be done. :)

You might ask, "Why would you want to work up there?"

Well it allows me to spend more time here in the middle of nowhere where it is peaceful. I get more work done. Lastly, the blackflies are so thick right now, it is better to be inside right at the moment lol.

May 21. Wet heavy snow last night trees are drooping BIIIG time. LOTS of broken limbs around town according to local news. Playing hooky from carpentry today. My yurt is a couple power cords and water hoses away from the house so if I need it its there. Good thing because I'm an electronic moron. lol

Actually I never ran power out there except when building the platform in 2013. We had power outage for an hour this morning. My grandkids are all old enough that 'Let's have smores in the yurt!' years are over. :/ I go out there and have a fire and yup, it is peaceful all right. I liked it better a few years ago when the kids wanted to be in papas yurt. waaaah lol
