So I decided to get another yurt for my camp. I am going with Surely Yurts for a 10 footer to use as a shower/bath yurt and probably for some light storage too. We are planning on doing it in late August some time. I really like Steve's yurts since I visited his shop last year. I plan on taking plenty of video and photos of the process. We were considering doing a workshop, but I just don't know how much time I could dedicate to making that happen. Life is so busy these days!

One day, I would like to own one yurt from each manufacturer. I am beyond happy with my 30' foot Pacific Yurt, but I still wouldn't mind small versions of other yurt designs to use.

HA! The Mongolian version of a sweat lodge, the bath yurt. I love it!

I rigged a shower curtain over the open top of our 4x3 master bedroom shower stall. Huge improvement. I placed a comfy folding lawn chair in there and soak up the heat after work. Absolute Heaven.
 
Congrats on getting the new yurt!

I ordered my second ger today! I got a 5 wall from Yves at Groovy Yurts. It will go great with my 30 my Yurts if America. There is just something inspiring about a yurt!

Dream big in a yurt!

We cleared the spot for it over the weekend. A lot of wood cutting yet to do, but the first step has been taken.
 
Steve from Surely Yurts came up to the camp on Saturday to look over the spot where the new yurt will go and to get all the details straight.

It looks like we are shooting for the August 22nd - 24th to get it completed. We had a chance to catch up on a lot of yurt talk. :)

I would love one of his smaller ones for a shop, bowbuilding shop. I think the equipment would space out along the wall, work space and a stove in the center. Have to lay it out on the floor, or outside and mark where everything would be. I think it could just work.

I love your location Jafo, it really needs another yurt, two would be better !
 
Yurt is a go for this weekend. I am going to try to take plenty of video and if time, interviews with Steve from Surely Yurts. :)
 
Have a great weekend, wish I was closer to help out, and learn more of what I need to know. I am looking at some property this weekend.

Steve and his friend Ray and Dave made it up on time and we got the yurt done after a couple of fun filled days. Had a great time. Pic included. :)
