Have My Smiling Woods Yurt Purchase Agreement

So I just got my purchase agreement from Smiling Woods Yurts for a 30 ft. diam. 12 ft wall yurt and I am reviewing it. Building in New York, suburbs of Manhattan.

Veteran yurters - is there anything that I should look at closely or consider or request before I sign the agreement? Happy to direct message a copy to someone who wants to see the specifics.

Would love to take advantage of others's hindsight.

My first question would be, are you sure you can get this thing built from a permit perspective?

I have not bought the land yet. I am using bank financing and I need the designs for preapproval. That said, every town that I am looking in I have sent them renderings or spoke with their building and planning departments and they have said I would be able to build a "custom round house".

We have a client that has us acting as a general contractor on a smiling woods build, and I am fine with that. They make a nice shell.

Just realize that it doesn't come with a lot , a lot , of what you are going to need to move in.

The absolute fact is the cost of building these kits is not less expensive per square foot than any other new home build.

Talk to your contractor and get a price estimate before you send a deposit.

Cheers
