Defective Acrylic Dome???

Hi. I have a 30ft Pacific Yurt and about 4 years after purchase the "lip" of the acrylic Dome started to crack and got brittle. Soon pieces actually broke off and I had to replace it. Pacific gave me a new one at no cost but I had to pay for the shipping. Just wondering if anyone else has had Dome quality issues. seeing as Pacific didnt charge I am suspecting a material quality issue. Thanks.

I have not had any problems with my going on 3 year old dome from Pacific Yurts.
