Tree Bones stay your course ! I like what you are doing.

The idea of having a portable yurt to travel with is one I have often thought about. My permanent home is going to be a yurt, in the NW, but I would love to have a portable ger for events, like the various rendys in the NW.

There are several goat packing events that use day hikes out of a campground, a ger would be perfect for them. Also a tipi which I have used.

Much food for thought here.

Recyling material is something I am getting focused on, we throw away and/or destroy way too much of the resources of our nation. Its criminal to me to watch the daily destruction of bldgs across the country just to build others in their place which in turn will be destroyed.

I tried to load your survey but it wouldnt complete loading.

Thank you Jake,
Here are some photos and information about the new One Yak Yurt that I have developed.

The One Yak Yurt can easily and quickly be assembled with bolts and a tire turning it into a wheel burrow for transporting itself along a trail or walkway. This is a truly portable mobile home. This 10-foot yurt will store in a relatively small space with the ability to transport and set up in minutes making it a heavy-duty easily portable emergency shelter. Sets up in just 10-15 minutes. The walls and door height are four feet. The hub is over 6-1/2 feet tall leaving standing room for several people inside. Our recycled vinyl canvas is used for the floor, wall and top covers. A heavy duty zipper makes it easy to enter/exit. The photos below show the One Yak Yurt assembled into the wheel burrow (still has plenty of room for more gear) and another with the zipper opened.

Thats really neat ! It would easily pack into 2 goats packs. Or two llamas for that matter. I prefer goats myself.

Okay. Probably a little too heavy to carry as a backpack then?

Hence, the wheel.

However it could be divided up amongst several backpackers or multiple trips.

For big framed mature pack goats then carried on two. Rule of thumb is 25-30% of their body weight. I only have one right now that can carry that much, a couple others coming on.

Ya never know. My main focus this year is getting moved, and start the real work on making the components, and buying what I dont make.

I find this question rather puzzling. Yurts are actually easy to build, I have made three. Why not resource local carpenter/labor to help you? It doesn't take a genius to make a yurt believe me. lol Any competent carpenter would be able to do it. I hate to say it but getting someone from U.S. to relocate to Turkey even temporarily and train and or invest in your company is extremely unlikely. I'd DEFINITELY go with local folks if you want to get the ball rolling. Plus locals know your wage scale, materials suppliers, way around your area, etc. Just saying. Good luck with getting that going.
