I like my yurt, but I LOVE my home. With that in mind, as much as I like my yurt, I always view traditional Mongolian style yurt as a nomadic tent, not a house, or other solid permanent structure...

Radiant floor system is expensive, even if you do the work yourself. IMO, investing that kind of money in heating a yurt is worth careful consideration. Normally radiant heat is quite the upgrade in...

There's NO WAY I'd fire a wood boiler to heat a slab, to heat a yurt. I've carpentered on several houses over the decades that have had radiant heat, but the boilers were fired by gas. The owners did...
