From what I have read it gets extremely cold and windy in Mongolia. Mongolia is an arid countrty. Traditionaly Mongolians use heavy felt to insulate their yurts. I'm guessing they still use felt in...

IME the whole key to keep insulation from rotting and molding is to make sure it breathes. It is my opinion yurts were developed in the dry climate of Mongolia. IME tents do very well in dry...
