Exactly what I think. It's so surprising and disappointing the companies use plastic. not only because it's not weather resistant, but it's a terrible material ecologically in general I try to avoid....

We are collecting the rainwater from gutters into our cistern tanks. it's our only water supply so collecting into a ditch in the ground wouldn't work since gravity is important. But also, our yurt...

We have gutters installed on our Colorado Yurt and collect water into 2000 gallon cisterns which is solar pumped into the sink and shower. We take them down before snow season and put them back up in...
