I painted the pipe black, so when the sun hits it, it heats the air in the pipe. The hot air rises and pulls it out one way. :)

At my cousins hunting camp, they bring the toilet seat in from the outhouse so it stays warm, and then bring it out with them. I dunno, myself, a cold seat doesn't really bother me. Well it does...

I use sawdust in the outhouse and about once or twice a year I have to dump some ash from the wood stove in there to get that cat urine smell out of there.

Of course, I am not living at my yurt so I just use an outhouse there. :) One note that might be helpful though, I painted the outhouse flue...
