Ja,$1,200 or so.
But at 17 Amp-hrs/day at 12V, 32°C (90F), sure minimizes expense for panels and batteries.

Here's a link to an 8 cu ft 12/24 v fridge that that isn't crazy energy-consuming.
They have smaller models as well, get great reviews from off griders using them.
Might make solar more realistic....

Not saying it won't work......but your arc is a lot tighter than Jafo's and you are cutting thru 2x8 before they fall away.

I've used several oils thru the years, among them Watco Teak Oil, and the current fav is a readily available Australian Timber Oil.
I've been using it on a wooden sign in Minneapolis for a few...
