If you are in BC, you shouldn’t have too much trouble finding insurance. Yurts are much more prevalent there, and insurance is easier to find. Best of luck!

My husband and I moved into our off-grid yurt in May. It is surrounded by trees, and makes you feel like you are living in a treehouse. 800 sq ft of awesome!

There is an electric baseboard heater in the utility room. We heat the yurt with a Vermont Castings propane, free standing fireplace. We also have a back up generator. We are currently hauling our...

There is a vent in the utility room. It is just a passive vent, no fan.
