Just thought I would post an update..

System dropping the voltage to to 5 volt is working fantastic.

The 100 watt panel is keeping the battery charged and Im actually powering the booster...

Just playing with the components right now. In the spring i will get a full system in and then just powering the cell system and camera won't be an issue.

I think I am going to try the panel to controller to Battery to 12 volt timer to inverter to booster set up.

Not sure if I want to hack up the booster cord on an experiment. lol

How about this hook to 12 volt timer and splice into booster power cord , bypass inverter completely .

Hey Cindy, yurt floor is about 16" off the ground but I used a real wide 3/8 band around the circumference. There is about a 2" gap from the ground to the band to allow for air flow.

My yurt was built by Shelter Designs in Missoula , Montana, so close to you.

Yes the rafters are 2x6. Google them up and the site will give you the specs for the full wind and snow load kit.

Conex will be 20' rules won't let me dig holes and fill with concrete. No permanent building.

That's why my yurt isn't on a deck 4' off the ground.
