I can get green 2x8 utility t&g for about the same price as #2 kd 2x6. The select kd 2x6 t&g is double the price. What do you think would be the best option under floating flooring?

If i put down the floating flooring is it necessary to use t&g? Regular 2x6 are less then half the price
