Re: question on T&G flooring

Thanks for the insight Bob, appreciate it!

I'm excited to get to the flooring step this weekend, hopefully the weather in VT holds out for me.

For insulation I am planning on only using the...

Re: question on T&G flooring

Thanks for your reply Bob, this makes a lot of sense.

Re: question on T&G flooring

Thanks for the info.

Were some of your beams not exactly level with each other? I am debating on putting down 1/2 inch plywood first and then the T&G to level things out, has anyone else done this...

Yurt flooring

Hi all,

I just completed the framing for my 25 foot yurt that will be located in Central VT. Since we get quite a bit of rain and snow in this area, I wanted to see if anyone had recommendations...

Re: Yurt platform post holes

The general slope of the land is around 25 degrees but the site of the yurt is probably around 15 degrees.....its one of the more flat sections on the land.

There is a fairly prominent stream...

Thanks for the responses. The soil is clay after you get down about 18 inches. The watery holes are sporadic so my concern is shifting the platform will uncover some more watery holes.

Bob - I...

Yurt platform post holes

Hi all,

I just kicked off construction this past weekend on a 25' yurt platform in Rochester, VT!

The location is on a piece of land that is about 1200 feet in elevation with a fairly steady...
