The right answer of course is more than you need. I run an outdoor boiler in Ont and will cut anywhere between 20 and 80 face cords a year. Have multiple log piles and firewood piles. Great exercise...

Plan to start sewing canvas this weekend. I have read that sometimes there is a layer between the canvas and wood. Wool of course in winter but anything else to provide some protection to canvas...

Here in Canadastan you can use 5/8 osb on 16" joist centers. And then put carpet or wood flooring. So your subfloor depends on your joist spacing which you do not...

While my knots seemed tight yesterday, I am going to switch to bolts for the top and bottom row so it is tight where the rafters sit. Will post a pic later.

If you go to houseneeds.com you can find the Myson CV21 series. 8" tall and 32" long. 2000 BTU each for $100. You just daisy chain them together around the wall until you get the BTU output you need.

If you want to go with a gas fired heat source you can buy inline propane or ng water heaters to heat the water for radiant from Homelessdepot. Self installable as well except the gas line...

Let me chime in...my house is100% radiant and I did it all myself!

Ai have infloor under tile in my kitchen and Myson wall mount rads along the walls. Powered by a Heatmaster G200 outdoor boiler....
