Traditional Mongolian Yurt order 2015!!!!

Hello Nomads,

It is that time of year when SunTime Yurts collects new yurt orders for Mongolia. 3wall, 4wall, 5wall, and 6wall yurts in all the colors. Fully accessorize your yurt with furniture and keep yourself toasty warm next winter with a Jotul 602 cast iron wood stove. Space is limited in the container so the order will fill up quickly. These yurts will be manufactured in Mongolia from January - February and will arrive to Seattle early Spring. We will offer 2014 prices for just 2 more weeks ending November 1st so get in contact with us asap to lock that price. We are also offering an increased $350 discount for payments that are made in full at the time of order. Feel free to ask us lots of questions and please pass along this email to anyone you think would be interested. Unfortunately our navigation page on our website is having issues so please email us all your questions and check out our Fb page for pictures. [email protected]

Hey Yurt Girl,

We use a 12' utility trailer, this holds our 5wall 19ft yurt, stove, kitchen, bed, table, dresser...... Plus whatever doesn't fit goes in the back of the pickup! Our traditional Mongolian yurts can fit in the back of a full sized pickup bed, if you are moving just the yurt.

How heavy is it all would you guess?

My guess would be a 16' yurt is ~ 600 lbs. total for everything, and that would include felt insulation.

Since the longest dimension is < 8', and less than 4' wide, it is transportable in a midsize minivan, small truck, or if you are really determined, add a solid rack to the top of your car. Lay down the door frame with door attached, the khana, the rafters, ring. Stuff the fabric and insulation inside.

I've seen that in pictures, but I wouldn't recommend it. Especially on the interstate -unless of course you're one of those people that practices tying knots at night just for the fun of it. lol

Yep, Bob nailed it, about 600lbs for the 16ft traditional Mongolian yurt. I actually just had to squeeze a 4wall into my 81 VW vanagon for a customer. Not much room for anything else but it fit!
