Constructing Lattice
Hello all, first time poster and a long time yurter. I have searched over the forum and can not find much information on constructing the lattice, specifically the dimensions and hole pattern to use.

I am going to build a yurt that will be used for backcountry skiing and will be used only seasonally. Put up in October and taken down in April..ish. I am planning on a 20 ft diameter yurt with 7 ft walls (unless someone can convince me that 6 ft wall is more structurally sound) and will be using a canvas or PVC sidewall and roof covering.

So does anyone know the following for a 20 ft diameter and 7 ft wall:

1) Number of side wall poles to construct the lattice
2) Hole pattern for each lattice pole
3) Length of each lattice pole
4) angel from horizontal the fully constructed lattice pole sits

I like the idea of using 2x6 dimensional lumber, drilling the hole pattern, and then ripping the board into 7/8" slats for the lattice (as posted by Marshall Eppley).

Thanks in advance for your responses and for reading this very long question.

Re: Constructing Lattice
Doing a quick search, I found this pdf from Laurel Nest Yurts that describes the process pretty well.
