It’s time to sell our luxury yurt!
JUST REDUCED FOR FAST SALE!
THIS IS A COMPLETE HOUSE WITH ALL THE FIXINS! POTS, PANS, BED, ECT…
We are selling our self-contained yurt home that is two 20’ yurts with a connecting stick frame mud room. This yurt home is approximately 750 SF of wonderful round living space. Our yurt was manufactured by Yurts of America, which makes high quality yurts for every environment. You can find them on the interweb thingy! It has the insulation package, as well as platforms (down to the dirt!) for the entire house. The kitchen yurt has an opening dome (a $900 item). We have been living in this yurt home for seven years now. Because we are almost finished building our more traditional house, we are offering up this cozy home for your enjoyment.
This yurt comes with the two wood stoves and flue pipes, a full kitchen, full bath (shower, no bathtub). Also included with this house are all of the cedar shelving, plumbing fixtures, electrical fixtures and various furniture. Based on the wife’s plans, we will also probably include cooking utensils as well as pots and pans. All this makes a great deal.
THIS IS A COMPLETE HOUSE!
The seller will include in this purchase a cord or two of firewood and another load of kindling if the buyer would like.
There are four yurt windows and two steel storm doors with plexiglass windows. As mentioned, we have two wood stoves (one for each yurt) with the ability to warm the entire structure with only one wood stove. This is accomplished with two ceiling fans and two exhaust fans moving the warm air from one yurt to the second for winter. In the summer, the fans blow cool air from a swamp (evaporative cooler). In the winter, we see 15-20 °F (-9 to -7 °C) cold snaps up to 100 °F (38 °C) hot during the summer hot spell. We have been quite comfortable for the last seven years.
Our yurt was plumbed with a propane cooktop, full electricity with eight wall outlets per yurt, four outlets in the mudroom, and a circuit breaker box. For hot water, we have a tankless water heater which has been flushed and maintained every year. All piping, plumbed connections, appliances and wiring are included.
This is a fully featured home lived in full time for seven years. It is self-contained and ready to bring you years of comfortable living enjoyment.
Buyer will be responsible for dismantling and transporting. Seller will assist in the dismantling and answer any questions. This yurt home was built with screws in order to make an easy disassemble and rebuild.

All of our yurts are made with the finest of certified Poplar lumber available. Our unique lattice walls are made with furniture grade finish cut poplar (99% knot-free) and rounded on all surfaces. We ensure each piece meets our strict standards. We don’t use it if it’s not perfect. Take a look at what we use in all our yurts.
7” Tall walls are standard.
All visible surfaces are fine-cut and bull-nosed, and all roof-rings are rounded on the inside for a more aesthetic finish.
Lattice walls are made with furniture grade finish cut poplar (99% knot-free). Before milling, the wood is 11⁄2” x 3⁄4” which makes the wall 11⁄2” x 11⁄2” at rivet point. Thicker walls mean longer life and heavier stress load.
Sleeved aluminum wall rivets are used (with no holes on interior side) for a cleaner, more professional interior look.
Our standard cover is a 19 oz heavy duty, tri-layer, re-enforced fabric. It’s UV, fire, and mildew resistant with a 10-year warranty, and meets or exceeds California fire codes.
Note: This is industrial fabric not awning grade.
