Default Hello, New Guy Here, Living In Japan.

Hello all, I just joined the site and I've been interested in purchasing some yurts to open a small site for people to use as a campground in Japan. Just started looking for some vendors to price things out and I hope I don't become a pest with too many questions here.
Has anyone heard of any yurt dealers in Japan?

Thanks,
Christian

I do not know of any in Japan. The closest would be this company in Kyunggi-Do, Korea, but I do not know much about them:

Becky had them on her site. It takes a while to load the flash so be patient. I do not understand Korean, so I have no idea what it is saying lol.

Welcome to the site!

we had sent a few (authentic) yurts to Japan directly from Mongolia a few years back, but to make it viable in terms of transport, you would need buy a few of them. I don't want to use the forum for advertising, but you're welcome to contact us per e-mail for more details.
The same would actually apply for almost any manufacturer :-)
I have otherwise the contact of a company in Taiwan. Much less authentic yurts, but good ideas with bamboo / aluminium frame. They don't have a website, but would be happy to forward their e-mail.

Hi Christian,

I am not big on using this site to advertise either, but I am in Zhuhai, China, right by Macao and just across the Pearl River Delta from Hong Kong.

We have sent a few (well... 3) yurts to Japan several years back (FOB Ningbo). Give me a shout if we can help.

Type to you later,

Rod (at)

Hi Copperpot, I'm new here too and used to live in Japan. Whereabouts are you? There is a woman in Chiba who runs a yurt-based holiday operation. Perhaps you could ask her where she ordered from. Their place is called Reef Break Resort. Ganbatte!

Hi Copperpot, I was wondering if you had any joy in finding yurts in Japan? I would like to purchase a couple for a project here in Tottori Prefecture.

Many thanks!
